The section of the base that is below your lower-mid back is where the adjustment occurs. Via the remote control, an upward curve is created, this can be as little as just a cm or two, or right through to 15cm elevation. You would obviously adjust to what feels best for your back. Some customers use the full curve for a while when they first get into bed to create a stretch for the lower back and then change to a more moderate position for sleeping.
The lumbar adjustment can be created no matter where you have the rest of the bed, i.e. If the head and/or foot end was also raised. On the Split models, the level of extra support is specific to each side.

I wondered about the wisdom of buying a bed online, sight unseen, but after one night in this bed I knew I had made the best decision. Bridget was so helpful when I spoke to her and she took time to explain the options which gave me to confidence to proceed with the purchase. I opted for the plush mattress and it is, without doubt, the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on! Only problem is that my cat thinks so too and I have to compete with her for my chosen spot. After suffering from insomnia for years I am now sleeping for 7-8 hours a night. I really wouldn’t have believed that was possible, and it happened from the first night. I really enjoy being able to adjust the height of the head of the bed and it has relieved the neck pain I used to have each morning. All the features of my bed are great and I’m glad I went for the Enrich with its extra features. I did get a fright when the massage function was activated once during the night, but I had rolled onto the remote, so mea culpa! I had a minor glitch with the height of the base which was quickly remedied. Bridget, again, was most helpful in arranging for AH Beard to attend. Only minutes after I spoke to Briget I had a call from Rose at Beard’s and she, too, was helpful and organised a visit. Karl who came to sort out the problem for me was very pleasant and helpful. I can’t recomment Napp more highly. Excellent experience for me.

We purchased the enrich model for its extra lumbar adjustment option and this has been a great decision. The mattress itself is also very comfortable, not too hard and not too soft. It’s a joy to hop into bed at night now and be able to read or watch tv in a comfortable position that won’t do long term harm. It was such pain (literally) to pile so many pillows just to sit up, prior to having this bed. Brendan was very helpful and accommodating with the purchase and delivery, awesome service. Thank you !!
